The work of the Caribbean Open Institute (COI)

Short description

The COI takes advantage of Open Data initiatives to create new services and provide new ways of presenting valuable information and positively impacting and empowering the constituents they serve.

Problem/Issue statement

What makes data journalism different to the rest of journalism is perhaps the new possibilities that open up when you combine the traditional ‘nose for news’ and ability to tell a compelling story, with the sheer scale and range of digital information now available.
