Adelle Zaira Roopchand

Adelle Zaira Roopchand is an independent communications, media and public relations professional with training in journalism and PR in the Caribbean. She has been working on natural resources management and development outreach programmes under the Centre technique de cooperation agricole et rurale (CTA-ACP-EU) for the Caribbean since 2010. Currently, Adelle is working on media advocacy and communications with the Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism (CARICOM) and the CTA media relations for the upcoming 12th Caribbean Week of Agriculture in Guyana.

She spent a year working with the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) as the communications specialist and has served her country under the Office of the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, where she was responsible for the coordination of the ICTs for the international media centre for the Fifth Summit of the Americas and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2009. She also worked alongside with the Ministry of National Security in the area of media relations and crisis communications and management. Her experience includes international affairs and protocols.




Christian Theodore

Christian Theodore is a Development Economist and Independent Researcher with more than five years of practical experience in the Caribbean region. He holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of the Wes Indies and has received training in quantitative data analysis and econometrics. Christian has a depth of professional experience in Macroeconomic Analysis, Poverty Assessment, Economic Planning, Social and Economic Impact Assessment and Strategic Planning. He has worked extensively across the Caribbean as a consultant to various governments and multilateral financial organizations, employing his skills as a quantitative analyst and forecaster.

His main areas of independent research are in the areas of Chaos, Emergent Systems, Economic Crises and more recently, Behavioral Economics. He has co-authored and contributed to a number of research reports and policy papers on topics related to economic planning, social and public policy.
