Ms. Onika Perchia Campbell

Onika Campbell is a Native of Jamaica, residing in Antigua & Barbuda. Campbell, a journalist by profession, is a two–times recipient of the Pan–American Health Organisation/ World Health Organization (WHO) Excellence in Journalism Awards for the years 2005 and 2008.

She received her educational and professional development at the Rusea’s High School, Montego Bay Community College, the University of the West Indies (CARIMAC), Ithaca College, the University of Missouri School of Journalism and Alison On–line College. Campbell began her journalism career, at the Jamaica Gleaner (Western Bureau), and draws her inspiration from Editor Mr. Adrian Frater and Freelance Writer Mr. Roy Sanford.

I have approximately nine years journalism experience, four years in the teaching profession (English Language and Literature) and six months in marketing management, with a proven record of dedication, accuracy, timeliness, consistency and versatility.

  • Marketing Manager School of the Nations/Nations University Guyana and its branch of the Australian Institute of Technology Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programme September 2011 to February 8, 2012
  • Broadcast and Print senior journalist/producer OBSERVER Media Group (Antigua) February 2012 to date
